Our structure at 1601 E. Main St. will become a living canvas. This canvas will serve as the launchpad for vibrant public events, creative activations, and annual neighborhood block parties. More importantly, it acts as the visual baseline for grassroots community efforts designed to unite the neighborhood, support our local business entities, and build a visually cohesive corridor that is entirely steered by the community itself.
The Dynamic Creative Pipeline
We are establishing an ongoing, permanent cultural pipeline that extends far beyond a single medium. Project Cold Front will consistently welcome a multi-disciplinary network of creators—including muralists, sculptors, photographers, videographers, poets, and storytellers. This multi-layered storytelling ensures the Eastside remains a perpetually evolving epicenter of dynamic, ground-breaking public expression.
The Creative Retreat & Scalable Residential Model
We are actively solving a major institutional gap in Greater Kalamazoo's arts ecosystem. Project Cold Front will one day feature a high-design, community-embedded "creative retreat" footprint tailored for traveling artists, marquee headliners, and guest lecturers.

This model relieves the operational burden on visiting creators while ensuring they leave a lasting, tangible piece of artwork or cultural impact behind in the neighborhood.
